100th post

This is my 100th post. On October 14, I started my Internet adventure. I have gone from being a person that just checked E-mail a couple times a week, to a person that has his own web site. I love my web site, because I can let people know about what is going on in my life on their time.

I get all my news and information from the Internet now. My web site has opened my eyes to a different world. I talk to people I would of never met other otherwise. I also communicate with people that I should of been talking to more often, but just never had the time. I'm a better rounded person and much more knowledgeable today then I was on October 14.

Thank you Christopher for opening me up to this world, and for being such a very positive influence on me. You are the reason my life is better today, then it was 4 months ago.

Love the rain hate the weeds.

We have been getting allot of rain lately. We need rain but it is feeding the weeds. So this weekend I will have to pull all the weeds or spend 30 bucks on weed killer. Does anybody know a cheap alternative to round-up? Maybe something that is home made. I'm not in to spending a Saturday bent over pulling weeds. I would much rather stand and spray.

Why do women not say what they want or mean.

I have discovered over my past 5 and half years of marriage women don't mean what they say. Example: When you ask her what she wants for dinner and she says "I don't care", she real means what ever you want as long as it is what she want. The man will suggest something like pizza. She responds with, I don't know. That means no. Then the man suggest Applebee's, she says the same. Then the man suggest Olive Garden. She says OK if that is what you want.
When she said I don't care she really meant she would like to go to olive garden. Why must women be so complicated. Just tell me where you want to go. Please, I beg of you stop making men guess what you are trying to say we really don't care if you choose. If you want a point to be made, say it don't make us guess. It will save men and women allot of frustration.

The FBR Open and the Super Bowl on the same weekend.

The Phoenix Open (FBR Open) is one of the biggest golfing events of the year. I know what you are saying Golf is a big event. The big event is not about the game at all, and it has everything to do with being the biggest party in golf. Everybody that is anybody comes to party and socialize. It is an out of control party all day.
The 2008 Super Bowl is the largest sporting event of the year. I don't think I need to explain that one. But for some reason these 2 major events will be going on in the same town on the same weekend. I can't help but think they didn't plan very well.
Party and drink all day (FBR Open) and party and drink all night (Super Bowl). This a recipe for complete disaster. I will not be doing anything next weekend because of the insane amount of people that will be coming to my city. I will love the money it pumps in to the economy, but not the traffic and insanity.

I'm in love with the Internet.

The Internet has become my new love and I thank the writers guilds strike and Christopher DeCaro. I will go back to shows like the office but will be spending more time with Internet. It makes so much more sense than the TV.

I can't watch the local news. It's stupid!!!

I hate the local news. I can't stand to see people report the stupidest stories. I hope the Internet kills the local news. On the Internet I can receive the important information and none of the stupid stores. I get weather without waiting through 20 minutes of stupid stories. I get the most recent NEWS. Not what Brittany did today, or some stupid dog trick, just the News. .

We are all diseased.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of taking my daughter to the emergency room. Yes she has pneumonia. The emergency room is one of the grossest places on the planet. The grossest people, with grossest stuff, all in one place breathing on each other and touching the same chairs, elevators, ect. I would conclude that you can leave sicker than you come. I hope that the only thing we brought home was the pneumonia.

Env

I love my new cell phone the orange Env. The name explains it all. I have even impress an I-phone user with it's capability's. I recently purchased a mini-sdcard to go into the phone for 2 GB of extra memory. I can save photos, music, and voice memos. I purchased a program called the Music Essentials Kit to manage music on my phone. This was a great purchase and I highly recommend it. The Env is a great phone that has everything I need and allot of stuff I will probably never use like the navigation.

My world is spining faster.

Me and the family are very busy right now. Jenna has started preschool 3 days a week and my wife Kristina started her last 3 classes to get her associates degree. I'm trying to get a business license and start my own business as I work at my current job. Mikayla is getting in new teeth on a constant basis. This makes her very cranky and always wanting to be held. Life is a little nuts in our house but we have goals to get us started on the path to what we want to do with our lives. Hopefully everything goes as planned and we can settle down in the summer.

The 4 hour work week. Kind of.

This book doesn't show every person how to get rich working 4 hours a week. But it does show everybody how to cut your hours at work, and enjoy more of your life. I Deliver beer for a living and I never thought I could cut my hours. But I have, almost 1-2 hours a day.
I have gotten about half way through the book 4 hour work week. It has given me a look at what I do wrong in my everyday life, and what I'm doing wrong at work. I highly suggest this book to anybody with a job.
If you want to have more time to do what you want, read this book.
I have only been applying half of this book for about 2 weeks and have already cut my work time and increased time for me and my family. I suggest you read this book in parts, Don't read it strait through then try to apply it. You will find yourself overwhelmed, and going back to your old habits.

No more busy work.

This week I started a no busy work attitude. It is allot harder than I thought. I found out that I was doing about 1 to 2 hours of busy work a day. I wanted people to notice that I was there and working. I have started to just execute my job and leave. This has made my work days shorter and my home life nicer. I think I worked less hours this week then I have in a long time. It did help that this is a slow time of year, but I didn't wast time trying to look like I was still busy. I have been looking busy for weeks and not enjoy the fact that I'm not busy. So far nobody has noticed that I worked about 6 less hours this week. I will let you know how the next couple of weeks go. I'm also going to start track my hours for myself since I'm salary.

Still wondering what I want to be when I grow up.

I have recently been exploring my career options. There is not a lot out there for a high school graduate that has been selling and delivering beer for 8 years. I want a business that gives me more time with my family. It's hard to find the balance between a career and a family. My plan to win the Powerball hasn't worked out yet, and it's probably not a good future plan. I would like to be rich, but I want to have a job that gives me freedom and enough money to live. So I'm looking into starting my own business(es). I will start with something small and if it doesn't get me where I want to go I will open another. Since failing in business is a great tax deduction, I have decided I can try till I get it right. Hopefully I wont fail to many times before figuring out what I want to be when I grow up.

The weight loss challenge is on.

The first week of my lifstyle change and I have lost 3 pounds. Me and the wife have started a weight loss challenge. I created somthing I call the dollar Diet. Hopfully it will keep us motivated for the next three months.

It was a magical weekend

Jenna loved Disneyland and her parents where also big fans. We spent the weekend with Christopher and Ong at the hotel DeCaro. We got a great deal and even had a continental breakfast. I highly suggest the hotel DeCaro next time you are in the Fullerton area. Thank you very much for all the hospitality and knowledge. Our next trip will be much longer and I can't wait. See you guys in March.

The quick disneyland trip

The more I think about it, the more I think I have lost my mind. We have planned a quick trip to California to take my beautiful daughter to the most magical place on earth. I know we will have a blast, but more time will be spent on the road in the next 3 days then we will be spent having fun. But I also can't wait. Not only because I haven't been to Disneyland since I was about 12 years old. But because my princess obsessed daughter will have memories to last a life time. I hope.
Who I'm I kidding I will be running around laughing and paying just like I did when I was 12. It's not just for Jenna It's for the kid in me.
Yeah!!!!!! Mickey Mouse.

The common sense political party

I have changed The President site to the Common Sense Political Party site. This is so that we can all learn different political views. Every week I will post and allow everyone to post there comment on that political person or topic. You can remain anonymous or put your name on the comment. Have fun and make your points for the world to read.

I think my website has gotten less shocking

When I started this site, I was thriving in controversial topics that everybody wanted to know about and didn't want to admit it. I loved it, I was the dirty little secret. I have shifted from being the dirty little secret to just talking about my life. My life can be boring at times. But don't worry now that I'm no longer talking politics on the president site I can concentrate all of my thoughts to this one site. Look forward to me expressing my ideas that will get you all thinking and laughing.

New outlook on life. 7 habits or the Duh book.

As most of you know I have been reading and expanding my mind. I know you are all getting scared because this another post about me wanting to improve my self through knowledge. But I think only great things are going to coming out of this.

I'm done with the book, 7 habits. I really enjoyed it. I feel it has given me a new outlook on life. I noticed that I had been in a slump lately. The holidays had pushed me to the edge and I was looking for my reset button.

When I started reading this book I didn't plan to have it improved my quality of life and the life of people around me. But it has. I want to have a win, win, personality. Not get walked on but don't walk on either. It has helped me at work, in my marriage, and raising my daughter.

Jenna was becoming an unruly child. She knew right from wrong and was just choosing to be a bad girl. This book has helped me to be a better father and how to deal with her when she becomes unruly. I have applied some of the methods in this book and have seen a dramatic improvement in her attitude. She still isn't perfect but doing as good as a 4 year old can.

I highly suggest this book to every person. Everything the book talks about makes sense when you think about. I would call it the Duh book. Everything the book talks about I find myself saying "Duh, that makes allot of sense." Why didn't I come up with that on my own.

The wife is very confused and sometimes thinks I'm being sarcastic or mocking her. But I'm truly trying to just make a better life for my family by applying the principles of this book.

I did cheat and do the audio books from i-tunes. But I got through the 13 hour book in about a week and a half. No working father of 2 could do that by reading and still pay any attention to his family. But 5-6 hours a day in a truck will teach a lot with an audio book.

Looking for suggestions on the next book I'm going to take on.

It's not a Diet. It's a lifstyle change.

The wife and I have decided to change our lives to be healthier and lose body fat. We have set a 3 month weight loss plan that will force us to change the way we eat and live. After this 3 months, our hope is for me to lose 20 pounds and the wife's goal is to lose 15 pounds. The plan is if we reach our goal weight in 3 months we each get $300 to spend as we wish. I guess the ultimate goal is not to lose weight as much as it is to lose body fat. So we have also measured our waist line. I would be ok with with weighing 240 if it was muscle and not fat. But first things first lose the fat then work on gaining muscle.

I hate playing games with my 4 year old.

I have been playing games with my 4 year old Jenna. We have been playing tic-tac-toe a lot. I have been trying to teach her the rules. But all she understands is no matter what the outcome, she wins and I lose. It sucks being told I'm a loser by my daughter even though I won. But I guess thats fatherhood.

And my junk was worth!!!!!!

$265. We are very pleased with the turnout. We will have so much fun at Disneyland next weekend with the money. I never thought I could get the clutter out of my garage and make a large sum of money doing it. I can't wait to finish going through our house so we can have less clutter and more money in the bank. Or maybe we will just go on another family trip and skip the money in the bank thing. Yeah.

The garage sale.

This morning much to my wife's dismay we started the morning off by having our garage sale. I can't believe how much my junk is worth. I decided to rush the sale so we would have some money to go to Disneyland. We are not done going through our stuff in the house yet but half of my garage is already full of stuff. When I started setting stuff out I realised we had allot more to sale than even I thought. It's amazing when you spread out the pile that was in my garage. I'm not sure how much money we have made yet but I know it's more than I thought. I will blog that later on the turn out, right now I have customers.

I have already killed the president site!!!!

I have decided along with my voice of reason (Kristina) that discussing religion and politics with friends, family, and creepy people on the Internet is a bad idea. I had the right idea to get people involved in the election. Just not the right way to go about it. I will still talk about things in the election on this blog and I will be adding political links. Hoping to still inform you all about the candidates and why certain ones might make better presidents than other. But I'm no longer running for president. Sorry for the disappointment. But I think this is best. I already reveal too much on mitchellsbrain.

Another year passes and I'm fast asleep

I have felt like a very old man the past few years on new years eve. I'm lucky to make it to watch the ball drop in new york at 10pm. I have not made it to 11:59pm in years. I partially blame my job. Getting up at 2am makes it hard to go 20 straight hours. Secondly I have 2 little girls that get up very early. If I choose to stay up late to watch the new year come, my girls don't sleep in. Then I just get a short nap after being up for 20 hours. That just dosesn't seem worth it.
What is so important about staying up until the new year anyway. I prefer to welcome in the new year at about 8AM in the morning over a bowl of cereal with my daughter Jenna. Call me lame or old. I was fast asleep by 10:30 last night. I thinks it's just another night that I won't acknowledge till march. It will be 3 months before I remember to write 2008.
HAPPY NEW YEAR
