As most of you know I have been reading and expanding my mind. I know you are all getting scared because this another post about me wanting to improve my self through knowledge. But I think only great things are going to coming out of this.
I'm done with the book, 7 habits. I really enjoyed it. I feel it has given me a new outlook on life. I noticed that I had been in a slump lately. The holidays had pushed me to the edge and I was looking for my reset button.
When I started reading this book I didn't plan to have it improved my quality of life and the life of people around me. But it has. I want to have a win, win, personality. Not get walked on but don't walk on either. It has helped me at work, in my marriage, and raising my daughter.
Jenna was becoming an unruly child. She knew right from wrong and was just choosing to be a bad girl. This book has helped me to be a better father and how to deal with her when she becomes unruly. I have applied some of the methods in this book and have seen a dramatic improvement in her attitude. She still isn't perfect but doing as good as a 4 year old can.
I highly suggest this book to every person. Everything the book talks about makes sense when you think about. I would call it the Duh book. Everything the book talks about I find myself saying "Duh, that makes allot of sense." Why didn't I come up with that on my own.
The wife is very confused and sometimes thinks I'm being sarcastic or mocking her. But I'm truly trying to just make a better life for my family by applying the principles of this book.
I did cheat and do the audio books from i-tunes. But I got through the 13 hour book in about a week and a half. No working father of 2 could do that by reading and still pay any attention to his family. But 5-6 hours a day in a truck will teach a lot with an audio book.
Looking for suggestions on the next book I'm going to take on.

Rock on! You actually made it through the book much faster than I did... and I am so happy to hear that you liked it.
I am currently reading The 8th Habit, which is the follow-up to The 7 Habits. I just started, so you might pass me up quite quickly.
